The Virginia Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War Commission was pleased to honor the dedication of sesquicentennial partners in a ceremony held in the State Capitol on Memorial Day 2015, prior to the Sesquicentennial Finale Concert.

Sesquicentennial Leadership Commendation (Institution) - Recognizes a Civil War museum, site, or organization that has achieved its goals and admirably served the public during the sesquicentennial commemoration. Also included in this category is each Civil War-related National Park Service site and state park in Virginia and its related partner organization.
