Jefferson Davis and the Confederate Evacuation

The decisions made (and not made) by Confederate President Jefferson Davis in the afternoon of April 2, 1865, changed Richmond forever. Exactly 150 years later, this 1.5-hour tour will trace the places he went and the decisions he made just prior to the evacuation of Richmond. This tour will cover many blocks of city streets, so please dress accordingly. (National Park Service)
