Dril Drill and More Drill

Location: Rice
April 2 - 7, 2015
6541 Saylers Creek Rd.
Rice, VA 23966

Would you like to learn what a soldier learned during Civil War days? Want to figure out the differences in the troops? Maybe you would like to be able to talk to passing ships or people really far away? You can learn many of these skills during our "Drill Drill and More Drill" at Sailor's Creek!

Many activities will be available to fill your day. We will have the traveling trunk out and let you explore the goodies inside. Soldier drills including signal flags and marching orders are part of the days lessons as well.

On each of the program days from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., programming will be Hands-on Battle Map, Civil War Soldier Drill, and Union Corps Badge Identification. From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. the traveling trunk contents will be described, signal flag lessons, and living history demonstrations will be available.

Program days are April 2, 3, and 7.

Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM
